Several theories address issues that affect women within the society, which are political, cultural, religious, social, and economical. In their writings, they provide hope for females through the creation of the understanding about the society. The problem comes from oppression or renunciation perspective of women in the society. Most men consider females as their subordinates whose are to be elegant and attractive in their presence (Taylor, 2003). They, however, admit to the oppression since they lack right to justify their basic rights. This essay narrows down to a single feminist theorist called Mary Wollstonecraft and her article, “A Vindication of the Rights of Women,” addressing the need for education and employment for women. It seeks to explore on the theorist’s description of the position of women and the need for education equality in the society and its relevance today.
