This paper gives an insight into the role of safety and health training programs in accident reduction. This paper studies the automotive industry in South Africa, it is focused on the safety and health practices in Mercedes-Benz South Africa. The development of an efficient safety and health program is believed greatly to reduce the number of accidents in the industry.
