Person-centered care can be defined as a particular way of practicing things that views the individuals that use social and health services as partners who are equal in both developing and planning care to ensure the needs of the patients are met. It is not all about giving the patient what they want or giving them a lot of information but it is all about putting into consideration the desires, family situations, values, lifestyles and social circumstances of these individuals.
