Donald J. Trump, the winner of the 2016 United States presidential election always used persuasion techniques in all his speeches, which made him outdo other contestants. Through that managers of different projects can employ the techniques used by Mr. Trump to influence project teams, through incorporating these techniques in their speeches as catalysts for vision, cooperation, trust, unity, and motivation. Most importantly, project managers should study the persuasion ethical side in order to avoid manipulative approach or in other cases being manipulated.

Additionally, communication, a basic leadership skill, is crucial in teamwork since a leader who is unable to relay his or her vision to the team, and then a similar goal will not be achieved. Undeniably, communication skill being an ability to initiate an efficient, constructive, and healthy connection with other people is what all the leaders should first learn (Foss, 2). Majorly, learning more on persuasion as a leader pays much that the effort involved because it helps leaders to be successful in achieving their visions and in communication skills. Nonetheless, these persuasive techniques can be manipulative to the followers or team members, hence, project managers should always be keen in regards to the ethics of practice. The primary purpose is to employ influence with basic information on factors steering individuals correctly, the apparent opposite being a person trying to fabricate the general information in getting authority.

In a rhetorical analysis, the main focus of the thesis is how the leadership and communication skills lead an individual to be easily turned through the beliefs, attitude, and behavior of another person and the techniques the American President has successfully used in influencing his audience. Markedly, Mr. Donald has always been a master of incorporating persuasion techniques in his speeches. For example, he effectively shaped the media narrative in making him seem a powerful, popular, and important individual, an image sort larger than his real life.

Importantly, the use of psychological tactics in gaining consent does not mean that you are at liberty to them. Persuasion science can be practiced for evil or good. There is a high possibility of manipulating others when using persuasive techniques. Hence, it is an issue of vague, malignant, benign, or perspective motives. Using persuasion techniques is a philosophy moral field and making a judgment on what is ethical and what is not is extremely complicated. Making people aware of persuasion techniques can advance their awareness so that they can realize cases when the techniques are practiced on them. Patently, knowledge is the initial step to actively responding to persuasive messages without being manipulated or convinced.

Succinctly, the major emphasis of this work was giving information, through a rhetorical analysis on persuasion as well as balancing what leaders of every project can learn from the persuasion techniques and raise awareness of the aspects of ethics behind them. Thus, is crucial to master the driving factors of the psychology behind every persuasion principle as a result of social psychology. This knowledge should be used by project managers in decreasing the possibilities of manipulation and practicing the principles in a destructive way. In reference to project managers, having a basic knowledge of the function of the persuasion principles can assist in communication styles in a form to convince individuals in taking action without using control and power. Project managers should employ these techniques in building cooperation, unity, vision, and trust to project teams.
