My Education life
I have acquired several life skills throughout this course. I have learnt several strategies that I use to regulate my thoughts, feelings and actions. I have always wanted to be a person who manages personal feelings, to avoid mixing work and personal challenges. For example, I have been able to learn to manage my anger and not to let actions of anger interfere with my work and studies. This is a reflection paper on my education life.
I choose my response to situations carefully. Controlling my emotions has helped me achieve higher optimism. When I achieve my target, for instance, pass my exams I always celebrate. I let positive emotional reactions take control of me. Through emotional intelligence, I am aware of my emotions and feelings, and I choose to react. Through self-awareness, I have been able to keep the negative feelings under control.
I have a growth mindset; this means I have room to accept other people’s thoughts, compromise to solve disputes. I have always wanted to be a leader. I believe that all leaders should have a growth mindset to assist in decision making and guidance.
The song that reflects my life is Bovi Jovi’s It’s my life, there is a lot to learn from this song’s lyrics. It reflects my thinking since I believe in living one day at a time. There is always a possibility that you would not be there the next day, so the best option is to make decisions that would impact other people’s lives positively. The song also talks about taking a stand, not being swayed by peer pressure; you assess your feelings thoughts and actions.
