During the mid-age period, there were several kinds of civilization that were similar in many ways and at the same time differ with each other in many ways. The empires of the West and the Eastern civilization are different due to the social class system, leadership as well as the way they generate revenue or make money (Wang 4). According to Kim and Hyŏn-jin The crack between the west and the east was caused by the creation of the special job for people and this widens the gap more, this was the difference between feudalism and the social system of the Eastern, the dissimilarity between trade and agriculture as well as the dissimilarity between the solidity of government (55).
There is also a notable difference in the life of ordinary people in the West and the Eastern civilization, this is in regards to how the society was run and the focus of the community. The feudalism and manorialism played a major part in shaping the social grading and the general life of an ordinary person who was from the East. According Taylor and Francis the system of manorial was formed with a lord at the top of the pyramid, who was rich and owned a couple of large pieces of land. He had peasants as well as serfs as his employees, the peasant had to pay the Lord a rent of crop in return to the piece of land that he/she obtained contrary to this the feaudal system was designed with a policy of every man for himself and never intended to expand on the civilization (91).
The social system between the East that the west was also diverse. Mongolia rose from the tribe which was nomadic and they were united by Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan conquered all the neighbouring land in which he established a large empire. During this period he gave the defenders a choice of either joining him or be killed. This ruthless mentality was evident when they decided to conquer the wide majority of Asia, Middle East as well as part of Europe (.Taylor & Francis 73) The major contributor to the division of Tang Dynasty located in China was their increased social agility. They had a sequence of test which gave the impression that it could improve the social welfare. As an alternative of the high ranking positions being entirely for the aristocrats, the poor found it easier to gain access to. Whereas in the West, it was cumbersome to move either up or down the social status contrary to the eastern civilization where this was possible for instance in China there was a possibility of moving up a social class through test and in other instance, in Mongolia it was easy to gain rank in the army provided one possessed the needed military skills, this was due to the fact that the society was founded on its military capability (Luo 4)
According to Kim and Hyŏn-jin there was also a difference in politics in regards to the East and Wet civilization. This came at the fact that the Eastern people were never satisfied with their leadership whereas the West had many leaders within a short period of time, and people were comfortable and contended with their leaders (103). There was much rebellion in Eastern civilization and wider gaps between rulers that their leadership resulted in unrest with the people. The west civilization also led to stable country considering England faced a major battle that almost lasted a century, this happened during the 14th and 15th century, the struggle for the throne in England caused many bloodsheds, at the same time France had also issued in their government during the same period of time, considering all this England still managed to fight French and they almost emerged victories (104). This shows the level of stability that west civilization resulted to. On the other hand, contrary to England stability, China had also one of the most tragic wars in the history of a human during the period of the Tang Dynasty. There was a rebellion named as Lushan Rebellion which ended up being bloody and exposed the instability in the eastern civilization.
According to Wang the difference between the Easter and western civilization was also evident economically due to nature at which either of the civilization acquired money. In China, the core economic factor was a trade (5). They had a connection to Europe in the Silk Road which was among the couples of trade routes from the East side of Asia to Europe. The Silk Road was not only for trading goods, but it was also used in trading other things including religion and exchanging ideas. According to Luo a special type of feudalism was employed by the English, this kind of feudalism known as bastard feudalism, a popular in the battle of the Roses, Bastard feudalism was different from the normal feudalism due to the fact that it introduced money into the social hierarchy (6). With the introduction of money, Nobles were able to pay their knights for the service they rendered in money instead of the way they used to pay them in the land. This reinforced the feudal system due to the fact that if by any chance there happens to be a weaker ruler, the government of the nobles would be strong and would step in supporting the people. The British Noble developed the Magna Carta to limit the power of the king. This monetization of the class system altered how England was led and totally differentiate it from the Eastern civilization.
